Only the highest quality alloys are used:
950/- platinum
750/- yellow gold = 18 carat
750/- palladium white gold = 18 carat
750/- rose* and red gold = 18 carat
585/- yellow gold = 14 carat
585/- palladium white gold = 14 carat
585/- rose* and red gold = 14 carat
925/- silver = sterling silver
Nickel-free stainless steel
*(also called apricot gold)
The fineness of the alloy, e.g. 750, means that out of 1000 parts of the material, 750 parts are pure gold. More gold would make the material too soft and therefore unsuitable for a ring. The other components are mainly silver, copper and palladium, a metal that belongs to the platinum family. These additional components also determine the color of the gold. Yellow gold, for example, becomes white through the addition of palladium and silver. The fineness of the rings is hallmarked (stamped) on the inside.
